Vida-Flo Hendersonville is on North Anderson Lane in the heart of Sumner County’s largest city, about 20 minutes northeast of downtown Nashville, in the shopping center next to the Hendersonville Walmart and tucked into the corner next to Doza Coffee. We serve Hendersonville, Gallatin, Goodlettsville, Madison and Old Hickory.
Hendersonville calls itself the “City by the Lake.” Old Hickory Lake was formed when the Cumberland River was dammed in the 1950s, and it turned a farming community into one of Middle Tennessee’s favorite places to fish, boat and paddle. The area’s roots go back to the 1780s, and Historic Rock Castle, built by surveyor Daniel Smith, is the oldest home in Middle Tennessee.
The lake drew country music, too. Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash lived on its shore for about 35 years, and both are buried at Hendersonville Memory Gardens on Johnny Cash Parkway. Conway Twitty’s Twitty City is now Trinity Music City, and the Tennessee Music Pathways program has placed markers around town, including one for Taylor Swift, who went to high school here. Summer lake days are long and hot, which is when a hydration visit makes the most sense.
