Bazemore is currently in his sixth NBA season. Raised in Kelford, NC, graduate of Bertie High School, Bazemore earned a scholarship to Old Dominion University. While in college, he received the Lefty Driesell Award, which is given annually to the nation’s top defensive collegiate player and earned two undergrad degrees. Undrafted out of college, Bazemore beat the odds to not only make the NBA, but to become a break-out starter for the Atlanta Hawks. Raised by parents that instilled community and helping others, Bazemore established the ARMS Foundation in 2012 once he made the NBA. The ARMS Foundation invests in young people to inspire them to reach their dreams and full potential. We achieve this through the creation of engaging programming, partnering with other organizations that share our ideals and offering financial assistance to help them achieve a lifetime of success.
