If you are a migraine sufferer, then you understand how difficult it can be to live with, as well as how impossible it can feel when it comes to finding a remedy.

What Triggers Chronic Migraines?

A migraine is different from a headache, largely in that they are a more painful disorder. They can cause an array of symptoms, from light and sound sensitivity to nausea, and impede on your day to day life. But what triggers a migraine can vary from person to person. Some of the most common triggers include high-stress levels, hormone changes, lack of sleep, physical exertion, as well as certain foods. Preventing migraines starts with identifying your triggers and avoiding them. But once a migraine has started your focus should shift to finding a remedy and incorporating them into your daily routine. Some popular remedies that you might try include:

  • Exercising regularly
  • Getting adequate sleep
  • Relaxation techniques, such as meditation or breath work
  • Reducing caffeine intake
  • Avoiding medication overuse

IV Hydration for Chronic Migraine Relief

A migraine here and there isn't the end of the world. But anyone who suffers from chronic migraines can tell you that it can put a serious damper on life. It can cause you to miss out on a variety of experiences, as well as school or work, leading to other issues. Such as mental issues, including depression, or other health issues, like putting you at an increased for heart disease. This is why Vida-Flo offers IV therapy for migraines, to help you make the most of each and every day. Intravenous hydration can help treat migraines in several ways:

  1. Adequate hydration: Water, plain and simple, is a great way to prevent a migraine from common triggers. Including dehydration and exercise.
  2. Vitamin B & C: Including these essential vitamins in your treatment can help reduce inflammation, and some of the pressure you feel, as well as the duration of your migraine.
  3. Magnesium: A lack of magnesium is sometimes linked to migraines. By adding it to your IV solution, it may reduce light and/or sound-induced migraines.
  4. Medications: Medicinal inclusions may also be added to your bag, to prevent side effects like nausea and vomiting. Anti-inflammatory medications can reduce pressure and the pounding sensation that many people experience.

IV therapy works by using an intravenous (IV) fluid drip to deliver saline solution through a small catheter and tubing directly into the bloodstream. This saline solution may also include medications and vitamin supplements tailored to the individual patient.

During your therapy session, a medical professional will insert an IV line attached to a bag of saline solution. This bag is hung above the patient's head, using gravity to regulate the flow of fluids into the bloodstream. Compared to a syringe or other forced technique, gravity allows for a gradual introduction of fluids.

While the time frame of a single treatment varies from person to person, a session typically lasts 30 – 45 minutes. There are exceptions to this timeframe, such as with our NAD IV treatments, which generally take 1 to 2 hours per session.

IV drip therapy is highly effective in delivering nutrients, vitamins, and fluids directly to your bloodstream. Unlike oral supplements, this method bypasses the digestive system, allowing your body to absorb the maximum amount of nutrients without any loss during digestion. As a result, vitamins and nutrients are made immediately available to your cells, accelerating the benefits.

At Vida-Flo, we offer a variety of specialized IV blends designed to meet specific health goals. We also provide the option of custom-blended IV treatments to target your individual needs.

The duration of hydration therapy's benefits can vary depending on individual health factors and lifestyle choices. Some of our treatments, such as medications, provide immediate (but shorter-term) results. Our vitamin solutions are processed over a longer period, offering longer-lasting benefits.

Maintaining a regular schedule of treatments can help extend these benefits, supporting sustained hydration and improved health over time.
