The Neighborhood
Vida-Flo Johns Creek is on Medlock Bridge Road, between Bank of America and Fresh to Order, at the opposite end of the Starbucks plaza and directly across from the H Mart shopping center. Parking is easy, out front or behind the building in the lot we share with Fresh to Order.
The city takes its name from a small Chattahoochee River tributary named for Johnson Rogers, son of an early settler whose 1820s home was an overnight stop for Andrew Jackson. For most of its history this was farmland. Johns Creek grew up around a 1980s technology park and became its own city in 2006. Medlock Bridge Road itself runs north to the river, where the Medlock Bridge unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area offers trails, fishing and paddling.
Johns Creek is also a golf town. The Atlanta Athletic Club, founded in 1898 and the home club of Bobby Jones, moved here in the late 1960s. It has hosted the 1976 U.S. Open, PGA Championships in 1981, 2001 and 2011, and the 2021 Women’s PGA Championship. Golfers after a hot round, youth sports families, and anyone who spent a Saturday on the river are regulars in our chairs.
