The Neighborhood
Vida-Flo Buckhead sits in The Peach Shopping Center, alongside Publix and Barnes & Noble, near the corner of Peachtree and Pharr. This is where Vida-Flo began in 2012, the original IV hydration wellness lounge in America, and it has been part of the Buckhead Village neighborhood ever since. Garden Hills, Peachtree Heights and the Buckhead Village shops are all minutes away.
Buckhead’s name dates to the 1830s, when a buck’s head was mounted outside a tavern in what is now the heart of Buckhead Village. The tavern is long gone, but Peachtree Road is still the neighborhood’s main street, lined with churches, hotels and some of Atlanta’s best-known restaurants. The Atlanta History Center and its Swan House are a short drive west on West Paces Ferry Road.
Every Fourth of July, the Peachtree Road Race runs right past our front door. The world’s largest 10K starts at Lenox Square and heads south down Peachtree to Piedmont Park, passing The Peach on the way. Runners training for it, fans heading to Braves, Hawks, Falcons and Atlanta United games, and anyone recovering from a long Buckhead night all find their way to our chairs.
